Featuring Jimmy Jackson

Jimmy Jackson begins his second year as assistant baseball coach at Siena. Jackson will serve as the program's recruiting coordinator and pitching coach after primarily working with the catchers and outfielders in his first season.

"We're really excited to have Coach Jackson move up to Recruiting Coordinator and Pitching Coach," Head Coach Tony Rossi said. "His vast connections in the Maryland, DC and Delaware areas plus his knowledge in the pitching area will greatly enhance our program."

Jackson played two years of independent professional baseball in the Frontier and Atlantic League after a standout collegiate career at Division II Shepherd University in West Virginia. He was a two-time First Team All Conference, All Region and Preseason All American selection as a pitcher at Shepherd where he still holds six school records.

Jackson has spent the last three years as the varsity pitching coach at Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland. He coached 17 players who advanced to play in college, 10 of which were pitchers. Additionally, Jackson delivered private lessons over the last three years to over 20 collegiate athletes, eight who played at the Division I level.

Jackson has worked multiple camps over the last eight years for high schools, colleges and Cal Ripken Baseball.

As the primary assistant, Jackson will handle myriad of responsibilities related to the daily upkeep of the program.
